LONDON MUMS PLAYGROUP (Eddie Catz, Putney) - 4,15pm-5,15pm (WEEKLY/ONGOING FROM 9TH NOVEMBER 2009): At the London Mums' weekly playgroup you can interact with lovely multilingual Mums & kids and make new friends while learning some fun things about multicultural London. We'll start exploring Italian London to start with. Our hour of fun covers singing & dancing, storytelling, dressing up and art & craft. The group is run by London Mums, the only free and independent peer support group for mums based in London. Join anytime! Cantiamo Insieme is an interactive language learning programme that offers Babies and Toddlers, together with their parents/Carers, the opportunity to learn Italian from an early age using demonstration and direct instruction while having fun. Each session offers the opportunity for young children to practise and learn Italian through games, rhymes, dance and other play activities. Tuesdays

St Mary's Church (Putney) offers a playground from 10-11am every Tuesday morning. Everyone donate £1 and gets a coffee/tea + biscuit each. Babies & Toddlers are free to play with all the toys and towards the end they sing songs with one of the mums playing the piano live. This is really a wonderful playgroup and lots of London Mums attend regularly. See you all there.

Spur Steak & Grill (Wandsworth, Southside shopping centre)

The restaurant is child-friendly with a dedicated playframe for kids to entertain themselves before and after lunch/dinner. The proximity to the cinema makes it the perfect venue if you are planning a trip to the cinema with the kids. The staff is lovely and understanding of the children's often unreasonable demands. The food is very good quality especially the meat. Fillet and ribs are quite exceptional for London standards. Kids' menus are varied and appealing and actually really good value for money. They are only a little bit more expensive than Mac Donalds but the burgers are made with quality meat and bread. Potato skins are delicious and original and you can't find those in many restaurants in London (at least not as good). One of London mums' recommended venue for SW London.
