Summer Events
This summer is packed with events for mums and mumpreneurs who will stay in London. Check below for events listed by date and location (South West and South East London). These events are ALL supported by London Mums.
LONDON MUMS have partnered with CUPCAKE to offer mumpreneurs a very interesting programme of seminars over the summer - when you book at the venue, please send us an email monica@londonmums.org.uk with your postal address and we will send you a great gift! Come meet other mum entrepreneurs to learn about topics that can help your business. 
The London Mumpreneurs Midday Series seminars take place the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month from 12pm-2pm. These sessions are free for Cupcake Members, and £10 for non-members London Mums. Creche is bookable for non-members at £8/hr. All sessions are held at Cupcake Putney, 10 Point Pleasant, SW18 1GG. To book, ring 020 8875 1065. www.cupcakemum.com
14 June: Building Cupcake- my journey: Join Karen Hastings for her journey on going from a Marketing Director at American Express to owning and running Cupcake, the clubs for mums and mums-to-be. Come with all of your questions on starting up and running a business!
28 June: Finance for a small business. There are so many financial questions that arise when setting up a business. Sarah Oughton, a mumpreneur and IFA will give an invaluable overview on how to get started and will cover topics such as setting up pension funds and saving for retirement.
12 July: Confidently Pricing your services. Look them in the Eye. Helping those who sell goods and services to have more confidence in the value of what they sell, so that they get a good price for them, every time, with no apology. This workshop will enable you to present yourself more confidently when you meet people.
26 July: Communication. Communicating with Impact workshop. In this workshop we focus on face to face communication and how to make an impact that is memorable and lasting. Sue Carruthers uses an established model which is based in acting and give an insight into each part of it (body, voice and mindset) and how they fit together. The workshop is very interactive and includes some practice and feedback, possibly using people's "elevator pitch" if they have one. The workshop gives a great grounding for all face to face communications including interviews, presentations, meetings and networking.
9 August: Online Marketing. How to use Facebook, Twitter and other social media to attract clients.
23 August: Solving Challenges. Alli Price, owner of Motivating Mum leads a "Brainstorm in a TeaCup" which is all about getting women in business together to help each other succeed. Each brings along a question, a challenge or a worry about their business and as a group we solve it! Don't worry if you're only starting out in business, you still have plenty of experience and knowledge to draw on as a student, a Mum or an employee in your past life!
13 September: Attracting new customers with your brand. Ho Raven from Mummy Marketing will come to discuss making the elements of your brand and how to make it come alive to your customers and prospective customers.
